Thousand Trails: RV Resorts from Sea to Shining Sea

Cross-country RVing is an exhilarating experience that’s made all the better when you have a network of RV campgrounds at your fingertips.

That’s why we love the Thousand Trails membership campground network. Thousand Trails fired up in 1969 and has since expanded to a network of 200+ campgrounds and RV parks where customers can enjoy the beauty of nature, combined with resort-style amenities for the whole family to enjoy.

And since we Outdoorsy folk love camping all over the place, we thought it right for us to craft this guide to help you see what Thousand Trails is all about.

What is Thousand Trails?

Thousand Trails is one of the largest networks of RV resorts and campgrounds in North America. With 200+ locations in the United States and Canada, the Thousand Trails network features amenity-packed RV resorts and campgrounds for wherever you roll.

Their campgrounds can be found near places like national parks, outskirts of fun cities, and those spaces in between where you need a comfy stop along the way.

ThousandTrails.com campgrounds feature family-friendly amenities like pools, clubhouses, playgrounds, yard games, and much more.

This interactive map shows all the locations available to book on ThousandTrails.com. Read on to hear about our favorite ones for you to get your Outdoorsy on this summer.

Josh and his wife traveled around the country in an '88 Airstream for 4+ years of full-time RVing. They made an unexpected pitstop in Montana in 2020 and haven't left since. That's because they got hooked on the glamping resort they run by Glacier National Park. Fittingly, they keep up their RVing love by renting out vintage Airstreams and other retro RVs to travelers hitting Montana.
