This was our first experience using a camper van and we will 100% be doing it again! Luke had every basic camping need provided for us so we didn’t need to bring anything from our typical camping packs. It was so easy to park and camp and move on to the next adventure in the morning. And have no set up in the rain was the real mpv! All instructions were easy and Luke was extremely communicative and helpful. We are so thankful we found this!

This van was everything we needed and more! Luke was very helpful and enthusiastic, and he’s thought of everything you could need while camping - even down to the cereal bar and sauces for cooking. It was the perfect way to explore Acadia without needing to bring all the camping gear ourselves - super convenient and cozy! Bed was really comfy after a long day of hiking, and it was extra nice to have custom bug nets for the doors so we could have some fresh air at night. Truly 10/10 would recommend - and we’re gonna be back!! We love Maine Van Life!!

If you are thinking about renting this van, DO IT! I was so excited and nervous about living the Maine Van Life since I am not a camper, but the van is so easy to use and so well equipped that even a total newbie can have the camping experience. We traveled with our two boys and camping in Acadia was definitely the most memorable part of our trip to Maine!Luke is super responsive and has a ton of great recommendations that he is very willing to share. He had a ton of great insider tips! The van is comfortable, has everything you could need for camping, and even had super fun extras like a cereal bar. The penthouse tent is easy to set up even for novice campers. My only regret is that we didn't rent it longer!

This camper van was perfect for our trip. We flew quite a distance to camp in Acadia National Park, and renting this van made our trip so much easier. We were able to focus our time and energy on activities in the park, rather than on packing and schlepping gear. The van is really well outfitted with all of the tent-camping essentials. I would say this thing is expertly customed out for camping by an experienced camper. Everything you would pack yourself for car camping is here: paracord, small tool set, first aid kit, tiny fan, headlamps, camp chairs, lighter, citronella candle, etc. All of the essentials and thoughtful extras are packed and stored in an organized, intuitive manner. The kitchen set is complete with tongs, spatulas, coffee maker, sharp knives, utensils and place settings for four people. The drawers under the platform are well built and easy to use. The Coleman stove worked great, and camp fuel was included. We especially loved the personal touch from the cereal bar, and definitely shared this perk with our jealous friends.Having the rechargeable battery pack was a huge plus, enabling us to keep all of our devices charged. The van also has several small (but bright) magnetic LED light bars that you can use inside or outside the van in place of an old-school camping lantern, and these were definitely handy when winding down at night. There are three separate sleeping shelters included with this van: 1) the platform bed built inside the van, 2) the rooftop tent, 3) a traditional free-standing tent that you can set up, if you choose. We didn't sleep in the roof-top tent, but we did set it up. The set-up was quick and simple. The weather was cold and rainy, so we opted to sleep inside the van on the platform bed. It was really cozy in the van on the rainy and cold nights. Sheets and blankets provided were clean and soft - definitely the most comfortable sleep I've ever had while camping. The sheets, blankets and pillows were clean and fresh. They seemed brand new - as did everything supplied for the van! One night we were able to use the custom made window screens (so genius) when it didn't rain, but opted for mostly using the side vent windows most of the time due to weather.Cleanliness and comfort were my main concerns when booking this trip, and those concerns were quickly laid to rest. The platform bed and the included gear were all totally clean and in good working condition.Due to the near-constant rain, we also set up the freestanding tent at our campsite, and used it for gear storage and a dry changing/dressing area. This was something we didn't know we needed, but were so happy to have. The tent is in the later years of its long and active life, but it served our purposes just fine. The van itself ran and handled well without issue - it's a bigger vehicle than the typical mini-van, so keep that in mind. Probably want a friend to help keep an eye out when backing up.Communication with Luke leading up to the trip was clear and consistent. When our plans changed, he was able to be flexible with our hand-off meeting point. He went out of his way to accommodate us, and was interested in our feedback at the end of the trip. We had an honest, straight-forward transaction. 10/10 would rent again. Wish I could rent this van from this guy all over the country.

I’d love to use better language - but I can’t help it. This van is fuckin’ rad. Reading through long reviews sucks, so here it is, dirtbag style:-tons of comfortable sleeping room, I could easily sit up in the van bed.
-The Penthouse kicks ass, a breeze to set-up, and the Insta’s are on point.
-nickname for the rooftop tent - The Penthouse - is great. I couldn’t stop calling it that.
-great extras - Luke included an old school tent and mats for a basecamp. In Acadia, I drove short distances more than expected, so this saved repetition time setting up The Penthouse.
-Luke is Mr. Maine - he had some great ideas for different things based on my quirky personality.
Two thumbs up for The Van Guy - thanks Luke!
