I had a fabulous experience with the vehicle and the hosts! Attentive and helpful throughout! To have reliable amenities, but minimalist feel, and a super comfy place to sleep was perfect.

Though it was a cool experience, I didn’t care for the experience with this company. They have high expectations of their customers, strict rules about the van, the rental agreement completely protects them while they hold a $500 deposit for several days after returning the van, etc. Despite these facts, their standards are low for themselves, specifically with cleanliness. Our van was old and definitely not “professionally” cleaned prior to taking possession. The chairs, table and awning (paid extra for) we were given were disgusting. We didn’t want to sit in the chairs and opted out of using the table and awning altogether. We found all different hair throughout the van, it was dusty and the flooring was dirty. I also didn’t like the way they communicate (not pleasant or friendly), they have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to cancelations for any reasons (not that we needed to, luckily) and how they think it’s appropriate to take money well in advance of the reservation. Unfortunately due to our plans, we didn’t have much choice when it came to soliciting Wandervan—we needed this service for a unique trip. I definitely didn’t feel like a valuable customer to this company, and won’t be using them again for future trips.

Van was exactly as advertised. Ride was smooth and we had all the space we needed for two of us for five days on the road. Had one minor concern that they handled immediately and fairly.

We had an awesome trip to Yellowstone and the van was super comfortable with everything we needed. I took one star off because we had to take the van for an oil change before we could even leave Salt Lake City. I think the company should monitor oil changes and mileage more carefully to make sure this kind of thing does not happen again. I will say that my upfront costs to get the oil changed was quickly credited back to our account without any problems. Other than getting a "late" start on our vacation, our experience was wonderful and we would rent from this company again.

Pick up and drop off super easy and the van is pretty self explanatory. I would not recommend renting this for a family as the layout is not compatible for ever being in the van apart from sleep. Nowhere to put any luggage, camping gear, etc and even with the mini sink, there is no space to place anything down on apart from a bench seat.

The van was in great condition when we arrived for pick up. I could tell it had been freshly detailed and cleaned on the interior-much cleaner than any hotel room I’ve stayed in recently. The pickup process was smooth and convenient for us, while we had some early flight times and delays so being able to pick up and get on the road fast was necessary for our trip. The only little gripe I could think of would be for the mileage allowance. I’m a serial planner so I would rather buy the extra miles in advance; for instance if I could buy a weeks worth of extra miles even for a 5 day trip and not use all the extra miles without refund for miles unused. I’d be fine with that as opposed to being billed for it later. Not a big deal just a suggestion. And with that said we definitely look forward to renting a Wandervan in the future for another trip! Great service!

Just FYI the water did not work on the van, it’s leaking at the tube seal under the sink. Kind of a bummer it didn’t work

Wandervans nickel and dimes you. The add on’s will add hundreds of dollars if you’d like to really be comfortable. They won’t even have BEDDING if you don’t get the add on. They failed to even have the fresh water tank filled, and we ended up having to empty the grey water and get fresh water ourselves. Someone isn’t even on call all the time. They say roadside assistance is included, but fail to mention if you need that at 2am, you’re screwed.

Everything about this interaction was easy.
Van was comfortable and easy to drive. The passenger style gave it more visibility than my personal car!
We spent our time zig-zagging thru Utahs National Park system. I never once felt unsafe or unprepared. Thanks Wandervans. See you very soon!
