This was a great trailer and an easy tow! Thanks for having it set up so well and helping us get it set up to tow!

This was my first trailer experience. It was perfect for our needs. Julie was easy to communicate with and flexible with pickup and drop off. Will be renting again in the future. Thank you.

Had a great trip with this trailer. Julie and her husband were great to work with and have a very clean and well stocked trailer.
The trailer traveled well and was spacious .
Plan on reaching out and renting again.

I wish I didn’t have to write this, but I have been left with no recourse. Our experience with Julie and Lance started off wonderful. Great communication and flexibility, and the trailer was nice. Unfortunately, our experience took a quick turn for the worse with Lance’s stand on an issue that we had no responsibility for. On our ride home, we placed our two bikes on a four bike Yakima rack in the provided bike receiver on the back of the trailer. On E470, at 65 mph the welds on the trailer’s bumper gave way putting our bikes onto the highway. Luckily we were able to get to a shoulder and dangerously remove our bikes and the spare tire before they spilled all over the highway. When we returned the camper, Lance informed me that although his camper had a mechanical failure that put my family in danger as well as others on the highway (not to mention the damage to my bikes), that I was responsible for the damage! I cannot believe the lack of perspective that he has as a human being. The reasonable response was to have some grace about the incident, instead he decided to deduct $258 for repairs from my deposit! I have included photos of the damage. You can visibly see rust on the welds. Please do not rent from these people. They do not care about your welfare, only their pockets. Despicable! They should be ashamed of themselves.

I’m so sorry things went so poorly during your return trip. We try to do everything we can to make every rental a good experience for everyone. We include a generator, linens, supplies, fuel, etc. all at no cost. Until this incident we have NEVER charged a renter for damage even though we have spent hundreds repairing wear and tear. Unfortunately, a bumper on an RV is not designed to carry a bike rack and had you contacted us prior to attaching your equipment to it we would have warned you against it. Many trailer manufacturers will actually void the warrantee on the entire frame of a trailer (such as Jayco) if additional weight is attached to the bumper. Per the Winnebago site regarding the Micro Minnie Winnie (this trailer), the only safe way to attach bikes to the vehicle is using a bike rack designed to mount to the ladder on the back of the camper or on the front, not the bumper. The back of a trailer bounces considerably more than the back of a vehicle due to the distance behind the rear axle and this violent motion can be very damaging. The bumper is designed only to hold the hose used for dumping and the spare tire, nothing more. What happened WAS a mechanical failure, but it was not a failure of the camper. It failed due to you attaching an unauthorized piece of your own equipment to it without asking and when that caused a mechanical failure it damaged both our camper and your bicycles and caused the scenario you described on E470. That was due to your choice to attach your own equipment to our camper in a dangerous and unsafe manner without our knowledge or permission, not a defect in our camper. I actually take offense at your accusations regarding our humanity or compassion; this was all due to a poor decision on your part. Per our conversation when you returned, we had a “gentleman’s agreement” that we would discuss how to approach this before taking any action but instead you went to Outdoorsy and filed a dispute asking for a full refund of your entire rental fee to cover the damage to your bicycle without ever reaching out to us. Had you not chosen to go that direction, we were honestly leaning toward just paying for the damage you caused to our camper ourselves. Unfortunately, by taking this to Outdoorsy you took it out of our hands. After presenting the facts, Outdoorsy not only denied your request to refund the entire rental, but also took the cost of the damage out of your deposit. We pushed them to NOT deduct for the labor or welding required for the repair, just the parts, we truly were trying to be as fair as possible. We are so sorry this matter was resolved the way it was and we really tried to be as fair as possible.

We really enjoyed our trip to Canon City with the Minnie Winnie! Julie and Lance were so generous and timely with communicating with us and we really appreciated their flexibility and their extra effort in letting us come see the trailer ahead of time before booking. The trailer was the perfect size for just the 2 of us. It was pretty well stocked...did have to bring an extra pot as there was only one provided. Also, the cooking utensils were a little sparse. A spatula, tongs and a very large knife (that could easily be used to murder someone!) were the only things included. That being said, a nice bonus in picking it up in the morning before leaving is that we could see what else was needed. (Thanks again to Julie and Lance)
I forgot a can opener, my bad, but it would have been nice to have that included. Not a criticism just a suggestion for future campers. I also brought along some serving spoons, paring knife, a colander, measuring cup.
We had a couple of issues that we made Lance aware of and we're sure will be resolved. (We think we might have been the first renters this season??) Since it was cold at night we needed to turn on the heater and it made a very annoying noise that disrupted our sleep all 3 nights. Hopefully that will be addressed. We had to purchase a sewer attachment from the campground store because the one provided in the Winnie didn't fit. No problem...and Julie reimbursed us immediately.
It was nice having the bed all made up and to have towels provided, along with paper plates, cups, napkins, plasticware utensils, paper towels, etc. We didn't use the french press...brought along our own coffeemaker.
Thanks again Julie and Lance for making our first RV rental experience a good one!

Hi Mark, I'm glad you enjoyed your trip and the Minnie Winnie. We do try to include everything needed with the camper including the batteries charged, propane full, water full, tanks empty, a portable grill, a solar panel, camping chairs, a portable table, linens, pillows, towels, cookware, cooking utensils, tea pot, French press, paper plates, plastic ware, plastic cups and a generator all free of charge. This was the first time a campground has required the fitting you needed, but we were happy to reimburse you for that. The furnace does click when it lights on both of our Minnie Winnies to light the propane which is probably the noise you heard. Glad you had a good trip! Lance & Julie

We had a fantastic time renting from Julie and Lance! The trailer was clean when we picked it up and completely ready for us to go, they even had the fresh water tank filled for us! From the time we booked until we returned the trailer they did a great job explaining everything and answering any questions we had, and were even kind enough to let us borrow a hitch so we didn't have to purchase one just for our trip. We really appreciated their flexibility on pickup and drop-off time, making it that much easier for us to leave and return when we wanted rather than trying to hit a specific time/deadline. We're already planning our next long camping trip and we'll definitely look to rent from them again! Thanks Lance and Julie!
